Jerry Silvester Vincent

Originally from Pondicherry, Jerry completed his graduation in Physics from Sri Aurobindo International Centre of Education. Whilst there, he studied Piano under the guidance of Suzanne and Composition under composer/pianist Pushkar Riccardo Carlotto. After which Jerry went on to study Piano and Composition at KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, where he completed the foundation programme and received the awards for Best Piano Student and Outstanding Student of the Year (awarded 2009).

On completion of the foundation programme, Jerry taught Music Production and Audio Engineering for the batch of 2009-2010 at KM Music Conservatory and has been actively involved with the institution since as a Music Production and Recording Supervisor, as well as mentoring students in studio craft.

Since 2010 Jerry has been working with A.R. Rahman as a Music Programmer, Score Writer and Engineer and has been credited in his movies since Rockstar (2010). Some of the key projects Jerry has worked with A.R.Rahman on are Rockstar, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Raanjhanaa, Kadal, Maryan, Kochadaiyaan, Pele, Mom, Mersal and more. He’s also worked on non-film projects of Dr.A.R.Rahman such as The Classic Incantations (The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg Performs A.R.Rahman) and Coke Studio Season 3.

Jerry's original work as a composer has been prolific in his own right. He has composed for various projects such as the score for an American film
called ‘The Art of Power,’ and also for the autobiographical animations of former President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and the IPS Officer Dr. Kiran Bedi. He’s also composed for Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Everest’. Recently his original songs from the films "Unwanted" and "Asmad" have won accolades and topped the charts. His song "Yahin..." from Asmad won third place for Best Original Song at the Jaipur International Film Festival. His original song and score for the film “Lake of Fire" was shortlisted for best song and best score nominations at the 2018 Oscars. He also co-composed the original score for Daughters of Destiny. The series went on to win at the Television Academy Awards (Emmy) in 2018. He composed songs and score for the series Trip 2 and Land of Light Bulbs, directed by National Award Winning Director Rajesh Mapuskar. More recently he composed the music for the critically acclaimed film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ (Tamil), and 2 Telugu web series Maya Bazaar and Qubool Hai. He’s also composed music for 2 major Odia films ‘Charitra’ and ‘Phalguna Chaitra’.
